Quick Guide for Teacher's Free Trial
 
 
1. Register a Teacher Account for Free Trial
 
Follow the instructions to fill in the forms.
 
 
2. Log into the Glory Math Learning System
 
Log into the Glory Math Learning System using your free trial account. The instructor main menu will be shown as below.

3. Review Projects
 

Click the button. Select a grade level and a category. The screen will display a list of projects by name. Click the project you want to review. After the project appears, you can try the problems just as the student would do them.

4. Create Student Accounts
 

Step 1. Click on the button.

Step 2. Click on the New Students button to open the new student page.

Step 3. Beside the number, enter the first name and last name of each student in the class (or if you want, enter the names for the whole class.).

Step 4. Select a Level for each student (P for Personalized learning plan. T for Topical learning plan).

Step 5. Enter or set usernames and passwords. The system provides a method to automatically set default usernames and passwords. To create a set of default usernames and passwords for all students, scroll down to the bottom of the window. Click the following two buttons:

Step 6. Click on the Create Student Accounts button that appears at the bottom of the window to complete the process.

Step 7. Select OK to the prompt "Are you sure you want to create the student accounts?" These students are added to the student list. They are alphabetized by the student's last name.

5. Create Homework Assignments
 
To create an active homework assignment, set the current date as the release date of the assignment. This immediately activates a published assignment.


Step 1. Click on the button from the instructor main menu to open the homework screen.

Step 2. Click on the New button at the upper right corner of the page to open the new homework screen.

Step 3. Set the release date. Click the button of the Release Date to open a calendar. It should display the current date highlighted. Click the arrows to display different months.

Step 4. Click the date (month and day) on the calendar to define the release homework to students.

Step 5. Set the due date. Click the button of the Due Date to open a calendar. Click the date on the calendar to set the due date of the homework.

Step 6. Select the Due Date type: either Fix or Flexible.

Step 7. Add the title of the homework. Click in the Description parameter to open the Homework Description dialog box. Click Submit button to return to the homework page. For example, type in this homework description (ex. "HW1: Measurement" and click on Submit.).

Step 8. Add homework problems. Click on the Add new project button to open the project list menu as below

Step 9. Select the grade and category for selection projects. Click button to select a grade level. Click the second button to select the project category.

Step 10. Click on the project name to select a project for homework. Always try a project to determine the number of questions per screen. This will also prepare you for student questions.

Set Parameters

Step 11. Define the parameters. Two control parameters of each selected project are: Number of Problems and Passing Score. Then click on Add to add this project to the homework assignment, or click on Back if you decide not to include this project.

Step 12. Add more projects to the homework assignment. Repeat step 10 to add projects one by one to the homework assignment.

Close the project list window. The homework project list now appears.

Step13. Publish the homework. Click on the Publish button to release the homework to students. Click OK to the prompt "Are you sure you want to publish the homework?" The homework is added to the homework listed.

 
 
6. Doing Homework
 

Step 1. Log into the system as a student using any student account created. The student main menu will be shown as below:

Step 2. Click on the button in the main menu. When the first project appears, look at the bottom of the screen to see the navigation bar.

Step 3. Click on the circle on the navigation bar to select a homework assignment.

Step 4. Move the cursor to show homework assignment information.

The project icon shows the problem information.


Step 5. Do the problems in the homework assignment.

Click on the button to check your work. Click the button to go to the next problem.

 

Step 6. View the results while doing homework. Click on Homework Score in the middle of the top bar to open the report screen and view your results.

Click on the Continue button to return back to the homework screen and continue doing your homework.

Step 7. After you have completed all homework assignments with a minimum number of practice problems, the system reports your results. Red and green colors show your level of success in each project category: Green: you have completed the required number of problems with a passing score. Red: you have completed the required number of problems, but you have less than a passing score.

Step 8. Move the cursor over green bars to see their project descriptions. If you are not satisfied with any results, click on the green bar to redo that project.

Step 9. Try more problems in the red bar categories. You can also press the button in the lower corner of the screen to try some more problems in any red bar category. Remember, the bar is red when you have not met the minimum passing score for that category. After you have more correct answers, your passing score will improve and turn the bar to green.
