The practice settings feature allows the instructors and parents to set the parameters of the practice mode to control the number of practice runs and settings for individual projects. There are two types of setting modes, overall settings and project settings. The overall settings apply the parameters to all projects in the system. Project settings are only applied to the one selected project. Setting Control Parameters for All Projects The parameters that define how the system controls the projects practice process are listed and described below:
The procedure of setting control parameters for all projects is: Step 1. Select the Practice Settings button in the main menu to open the parameters screen as below.
Step 2. Set the control parameters by clicking on the buttons at the end of each setting description. The current settings are shown in red. For this tutorial example, change the settings to those shown below.
Step 3. Select the Set button to set the parameters. Select OK to the prompt "Are you sure you want to set passing percent to all projects?"
Setting Control Parameters for an Individual Project The parameters to specify the controlling features of an individual project in the learning mode are describe below:

The procedure for defining control setting parameters for each individual project is: Step 1. Select the Practice Settings button in the main menu. Step 2. Click on the Project Settings button located at the upper right corner of the screen to open the projects list screen as shown below.
Step 3. Click
on the down arrow Step 4. Click
on the down arrow Step 5. Click on the word Update in front of the project title, (ex. Place Value to Millions) to open the parameter settings window.
Step 6. Set the control parameters by typing values in the boxes. For the tutorial, type these values.
Step 7. Click Update. Select OK to the prompt "Are you sure you want to change project settings?" The settings area will show "updated" as the confirmation that the changes have been made.
Step 8. Close the project window to return to Project Settings screen. Changed settings can be viewed on this screen.
