9. Taking Placement Test

Log into the system as a student using your child account.

Step 1. Click on the icon in the main menu to open the placement test program.

Step 2. Click on the Categories to select one or more categories. Click on the up-down arrow to select a grade.         

Step 3. Click on the button to start the test.

       

Hints for taking a placement test:

  1. If you get both problems correct, the dot turns green and the test advances to the next competency.
  2. If you miss one problem, the dot color will turn to orange for warning.
  3. If you miss two problems, the dot color will become red. The test will advance to next competency.
  4. Click on the button located at the upper right corner if you don't know how to solve the problem.
  5. If you miss two consecutive competencies, the test program will jump to the next category to test.

Step 4. Complete the placement test. After you have done the last problem on the placement test, the test results chart appears for your review.

Your placement test results are displayed in a chart. The green color bars show your math skill levels in each category. The gray color bars indicate the range of the skills of the categories.
